End Of Agreement Process

A step-by-step end of agreement guide

Step 1

You will be contacted approximately 4 months before your existing car benefit is due to terminate and an up-to-date list of available replacement vehicles will be made available to you.

You will be reminded that you have the option to either retain or return your current scheme vehicle and will need to decide whether you would like to order a new, replacement scheme vehicle.

If you decide to order a replacement scheme vehicle, it is imperative that it is done in good time.

Step 2

Should you decide to order a replacement scheme vehicle, you will need to speak with your Scheme Co-ordinator and provide them with an up-to-date copy of your driving licence and a recent payslip, enabling them to ensure that you are still eligible to participate in the scheme. Details of how to order your next scheme vehicle can be found here.

Step 3

You will be required to have rectification work carried out in order to bring the car in line with the acceptable fair wear and tear standards. This should normally be done before presenting the vehicle for inspection and before taking delivery of your new scheme vehicle (if you have chosen to order another).

On inspection, you will be asked to sign to confirm the condition and final mileage reading. Any costs due in relation to unfair wear and tear that has not been properly repaired will be deducted from your net pay on your next pay date. Net pay deductions may also include charges for excess mileage and/or damaged/missing items. Please see your scheme documents and unfair wear and tear guide for full details of potential costs.

Payroll deduction and adjustments normally commence in month following the month in which you take delivery of your scheme vehicle and cease in the month you replace and/or return your vehicle.

When returning your vehicle, you should be sure that you have complied with the following End of Agreement checklist. The checklist can be viewed by clicking this link:
