Quote, Order and Delivery Process
A step-by-step guide to ordering and taking delivery of your new car
How to order your new scheme vehicle
Step 1
Once you have registered on this website you should log in using your Username and Password. You can access a Choice List under the ‘Driver’ area where you will be able to view the vehicles that are available to you.
Once you have decided which vehicle you would like as well as the interior and exterior colours and any optional extras, you should request a quote via your Scheme Co-ordinator. Your Scheme Co-ordinator will be a dedicated person within your company who will process quotes and order vehicles on your behalf.
Your Scheme Co-ordinator will need to see:
- Completed Employee Eligibility Form (click here to download)
- UK Driving Licence
- A recent payslip
Please Note: If your Driving Licence was obtained before June 2015, you will need to show the counterpart as well as the card.
Step 2
Once you have accepted your quote, a Credit Sale Agreement will be issued. In most cases, you will receive an email with a link to the website and instructions for signing your agreement electronically, as well as an SMS with a unique PIN code which you will be required to enter into the agreement. In the event that we do not hold a valid email address and/or valid mobile phone number, your agreement will be sent in the post to the corresponding address that we hold for you.
Please take the time to read your agreement and ensure that you are satisfied with the Terms and Conditions and Return Vehicle Condition Guidelines before proceeding to sign.
You will also be required to sign a Payroll Instruction Form, this instructs your employer to take all scheme repayments from your net pay.
You should retain the additional copy documents for your reference.
Step 3
Upon receipt of your signed Credit Sale Agreement, Car Benefit Car Schemes will execute (counter-sign) the agreement and send a copy back to you.
Car Benefit Car Schemes will then order your vehicle via your Scheme Co-ordinator.
You will also be required to sign a Payroll Instruction Form, this instructs your employer to take all scheme repayments from your net pay.
Under the Consumer Credit Act (1974) you will have 14 days from the day after the date the agreement is made to withdraw. Please refer to your agreement for more information.
Taking delivery of your new vehicle
Step 1
Your Scheme Co-ordinator will contact you once the vehicle is available and will make arrangements for delivery/collection. This will always take place at either your employing site or the site from which the vehicle has been ordered.
Step 2
You will need to arrange comprehensive insurance cover, to begin from the time and date that you expect to take delivery of the vehicle. You will need to bring your cover note with you as proof of insurance prior to the vehicle being delivered.
Please note that when taking out insurance cover it is important that you confirm the following:
- The 'customer' named on the Credit Sale Agreement (i.e. the employee) is the LEGAL OWNER of the vehicle.
- The employee is NOT the REGISTERED KEEPER; the registered keeper is Car Benefit Car Schemes Limited.
- The car is fully comprehensively insured at all times.
Insurance Obligation
Under the terms of your Credit Sale Agreement, you must send us a copy of your motor insurance policy for your scheme vehicle. Where possible this should be before delivery, but no later than 7 days after.
You can send it via email by following the link below:
Please note that failure to provide proof of insurance may result in delivery being cancelled.
Step 3
On the day, please take the time to familiarise yourself with the vehicle's controls and operating instructions, as described in the handbook.
You will be asked to sign a condition report confirming that the vehicle is in an acceptable condition. It is important that you take the time to check that everything is as you would expect in a new vehicle. Subsequent claims will be rejected if any faults have not been noted at the point of handover.
Your first repayment on your new scheme vehicle will take place on the day you are paid, in the month after your vehicle is delivered.
